Rockit Room has teamed up with Massive Arts Studios to offer labels and independent producers around the world the opportunity to master their work in our studios, from the comfort of their own office or home, and at a reasonable price.

Our service provides each customer with their own private folder on our server, with a login name and a personal password, where to store, exchange and prepare your audio files for the next stages of the mastering process.

We also provide you with a series of simple tutorials to help guide you through the entire process.

We guarantee you a fast, reliable service and complete privacy of your content.

FILE FORMATS

The files you upload to our ftp server need to be:

- Named the same way as the data you put on the tracking list (ie: "Nameoftrack.aif" = "1. Nametrack" in the tracking list).
- We allow the following formats only; AIFF o WAVE o SDII both at 16 o 24 bit and both at 44.1 Khz or at 48.0 Khz.
Please do not upload files in the following formats; Mp3 o Mp4 or any other compressed format since compression will reduce the quality of the original files.

DOWNLOADING FILES

- Once the mastering process is completed and your CD is ready (in about 3 business days) we will transfer it in our server. This is an image file containing the final result of the mastering. You will receive an email inform you the file is ready for download. Once your receive this email you may return to our server the same way done previously for the uploading process and drag the image from your personal space on our server to your desktop.
- Your file will remain on our server for 48 hours after our confirmation email.

HOW DO I MAKE A COPY OF THE CD FOR LISTENING PURPOSES?
(Burning the image file to CD)

- Once the image file downloads, just double click it and your burning software will startup. Insert a blank CD and begin the burning process.

- The files we provide you with are created using "NERO Burning ROM" for PC and with "TOAST" for MAC, should you have other operating systems or do not own the burning software mentioned, write "Other" on the online acceptance form. We will provide you with WAVE / 44.1 Khz / 16 bit files instead of the image file.

THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN A NORMAL COPY AND A "PMCD"
(The PQ coding.)

- In order to make industrial copies of your CDs it is necessary to make a "Glass master". This process requires a code called PQ including all the information about the time code of the CD, the number of tracks, their position, the offsets of the print, the isrc code (if applicable), ……; All this information is not available on the normal CD copy which only contains the TOC (Table of contents); For this reason your CD copy is fine for listening but not for industrial duplication.
- If you require a PMCD (Pre Master CD) will be made by us for you and sent to your home address via UPS with an extra price .
